Plum Café

369 East 17th St.
Costa Mesa, CA 92627

It is a good place for brunch on the weekends. Although the price is sort of high and they charge 18% gratuity for party over 5 people and barely offer service, we will still come back.
We like the atmosphere and the presentation of the food. They have both outdoor and indoor seats, and we like sitting outside.
We prefer the brunch menu rather than the lunch or dinner manu. Our favorite dishes are Northwest Berry Waffle (this is the only waffle they have) and the Dutch Baby.

Northwest Berry Waffle
We just like waffles! It is a medium size waffle with fresh berries and whipping cream. The waffle is really good.

Dutch Baby
Dutch Baby takes 20 minutes to prepare, but it worths the wait. It is acually a deep dish pancake skillet baked. ZhuXiaoBao No.1 likes the soft bottom part, but the ZhuXiaoBao No.2 likes the crispy side (wall) part. Best Match! Oh, and don't forget to put some lemon and French! It tastes better.

Special Omelet
We also like their Special Omelet which you can select five ingredients by your own. ZhuXiaoBao's recipe is cheese, bacon, ham, tomato, and asparagus.

Coconut French Toast
We are kind of disappointed at the Coconut French Toast, it looks better than it tastes; even my little sister who likes coconut was not that impressed by it.

Our Best Recommendation: Northwest Berry Waffle and Dutch Baby.

Bon Appetit!!
